New President of the Americas

Jason Industrial is pleased to announce the appointment of Tom Doring as AMMEGA’s new President of the Americas. Tom will oversee the activities of Ammeraal Beltech, Megadyne and Jason Industrial in North, Central and South America.
Tom will succeed Philip Cohenca who served as President of the Americas for AMMEGA since the merger of Ammeraal Beltech, Megadyne and Jason in September of 2018. Philip, who recently retired, will remain as a consultant to the Ammega Group.
Tom joins AMMEGA after having served most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Strategy Officer of Southwire Company. Prior to this, Tom was President of the Americas for Vacon − an industrial technology company where he grew the business 15% per year for eight consecutive years, leading to the sale of Vacon to Danfoss. As the Head of Danfoss Drives, Tom led the Commercial integration program globally. Prior to this, Tom worked at Eaton where he served in several managerial roles.
With his broad range of experiences and energetic leadership style, Tom brings the right mix of entrepreneurial and continuous improvement mindset to the AMMEGA Americas organization.
Tom is a graduate of the University of Dayton where he earned a BS in Electrical Engineering and completed his Graduate work at Syracuse University.
He is married and has four children.

Leave a CommentAMMEGA is pleased to announce that Kyoyul “Kyo” Oh joined the Power Transmission & Fluid Power Products business on January 25, 2021, as Vice President/General Manager reporting to Tom Doring, President AMMEGA Americas.
In his new role, Kyo will be part of the Americas Executive Leadership Team and will lead the Power Transmission & Fluid Power business along with his senior and local management team of specialists.
Kyo has over twenty years of global automotive and industrial manufacturing experience across sales & marketing, engineering, research & development, business development & commercialization, operational start-up, expatriate assignment, and management P&L responsibility.
Stated by Tom Doring, “Kyo is a veteran and true expert in the areas of Power Transmission and Fluid Power globally and regionally. We are excited to see Kyo continue our successful journey in growing with our distributor partners. We are equally excited about our next phase of growth around innovation, new product development and customer specific solutions.”
Prior to joining our Power Transmission and Fluid Power business, Kyo spent 20 years with the Gates Corporation, culminating with his position as Senior Vice President Commercial Development. After Gates, he spent one year at Stant Corporation as an Executive Vice President. Kyo has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute, and a Ph.D. in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech.
Kyo has demonstrated his ability to deliver customer focused, technology driving and innovating, profitable business solutions, operational excellence, and cross-cultural global personnel management. Kyo has also been instrumental in successful sales and transactions with Private Equity firms. Kyo and Tom Tesoro, Vice President of Commercial Relations will focus on leading the Megadyne and Jason businesses to the next level.

Jason Industrial offers most commonly needed hydraulic hoses seen in the market. On several of the wire braid reinforced hoses we offer both a smooth cover and a special abrasion resistant wrap cured finish cover.
For applications requiring higher levels of exterior hose protection, we offer our Dreamshield® abrasion resistant rubber cover. Made from particularly durable rubber compounds, this protective cover is up to 8 times more resistant to abrasion compared to traditional rubber cover material options. As such, Dreamshield® can significantly prolong the lifespan of hydraulic hoses. All rubber covered hydraulic hoses offered by Jason utilize flame resistant (MSHA listed) covers.

New Line of Constant Pressure (Isobaric) Hoses
We have expanded our line to offer the most commonly needed constant pressure (also known as “isobaric”) hoses and all are available with the Dreamshield® cover. These are:
- SAE 100R17 – 3,000 PSI (5171 smooth standard cover and 5172 Dreamshield® cover)
- SAE 100R19 – 4,000 PSI (5192 Dreamshield® cover)
- SAE 100R13 – 5,000 PSI (5132 Dreamshield® cover)
- SAE 100R15 – 6,000 PSI (5152 Dreamshield® cover)
We also offer a full line of one-piece, over the cover/bite the wire couplings that pair with these hydraulic hoses. All are fully tested and approved with our Jason provided crimp specifications. To ensure optimal quality, functionality, and durability, we manufacture all of these couplings from high-quality steel, with inserts made from a single piece (no braze joints to leak or fail). We also utilize cold formed connector nuts, which virtually eliminates the risk of cracking during the tightening process. The ferrules are made of cold or hot formed steel without free machining elements which provides optimal crimping formability without cracking.
